Changes to Telephone System

You may be aware that Fernlea Surgery has recently changed the telephone service to a hosted system. This is for upgrade purposes and make the telephone system more efficient. We have experienced some delays during this period. We apologise for the inconvenience caused, thank you for bearing with us. We have also implemented the following: 

  1. No queries will be taken between 8-10am. This time is only for Appointment requests. We have added this reminder onto our telephone message. 
  2. Reception staff have been advised to pick up all calls with a specific time frame and ask patients to hold if unable to deal with immediately, so please bear with us if this occurs. 
  3. To complete all calls within a specific time frame. As there are a high number of patients waiting during 8-10am, we are asking all patients to bear this in mind and limit the duration of the call. During the call, please state clearly your Name, DOB and Appointment Requirement.
